Job Summary

Optime Care, a Specialty Pharmacy, is seeking a Director of Pharmacy Platforms and Data to play a key role in data strategy and analytics. This individual will work with client care teams, IT, and executive leadership to support internal data initiatives and client-facing data needs. The Director will be responsible for IT Pharmacy Systems, data files, and client integration projects, as well as managing a small team of IT professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with users, management, and subject matter experts to analyze and define functional requirements for pharmacy systems.
  • Create and manage data and analytics necessary to run the business and respond to client needs.
  • Develop integration solutions with third-party technology platforms to meet client needs and internal initiatives.
  • Manage a team responsible for maintaining, updating, and supporting critical pharmacy management software and systems.
  • Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
  • Consult with management to ensure agreement on system principles.
  • Confer with clients to determine the nature of information to be delivered.
  • Manage project plans based on Optime Care and client needs.
  • Understand HIPAA and HITECH rules and regulations related to pharmacy systems and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain user roles for pharmacy systems and reporting following the least privilege methodology.
  • Develop, document, and revise pharmacy system and reporting standard operating procedures.
  • Oversee training of employees on pharmacy and reporting systems.
  • Participate in meetings and patient care conferences.
  • Coordinate the installation of computer programs and systems.
  • Oversee resolution of system-related problems.
  • Ensure adherence to technology platform and reporting compliance/Service Level Agreements.
  • Assist with reporting, data analysis, and database administration.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field of study.
  • Minimum of five years of overall experience in IT and managing software platforms.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in pharmacy IT systems.
  • Minimum of two years of experience with pharmacy operations.
  • Preferred knowledge of Wellsky Programs and Inovalon's Programs Scriptmed.
  • In-depth SQL knowledge and previous use required.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and HITECH regulations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to provide solutions to complex problems.
  • Detail-oriented approach with ability to switch between job responsibilities quickly.
  • Ability to be highly transparent, ethical, and driven.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels within an organization and with partners, vendors, and clients.
  • Ability to think and act independently, formulate, and support new ideas.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
