Job Summary

**Mission-Driven Role**

The Arc of Northeastern PA seeks a highly motivated and compassionate Recreation Services Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for delivering inclusive, social recreation opportunities for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Collaborate with the Manager of Recreation Services to plan, execute, and participate in recreation and leisure activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our service recipients.
  • Develop and implement leisure skills programs that align with The Arc's mission and enhance the quality of life for individuals with IDD.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of The Arc's Summer Camps, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
  • Provide support and guidance to staff, management, and external agencies to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals served, their families, and internal stakeholders to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field, or an Associate's Degree with relevant experience.
  • At least one year of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and a willingness to work a flexible schedule.

**Ideal Candidate**

  • Demonstrates exceptional resourcefulness, creativity, and leadership skills.
  • Exhibits a genuine passion for helping individuals with IDD cultivate leisure interests and skills.
  • Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills.

**Certifications**

CPR/First Aid certification is highly desirable.
