Product Safety Engineer

At Milwaukee Tool, we're committed to creating innovative products that meet the highest standards of safety and performance. As a Product Safety Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our products meet regulatory requirements and minimize risk to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate product safety concepts, designs, and products to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
  • Develop and implement effective safety testing protocols to ensure product safety.
  • Communicate with external customers regarding product safety matters.
  • Perform inspections and conduct failure analysis on returned products.
  • Supervise product safety testing and provide feedback on operator's manuals and on-product markings.
  • Assist in the execution of recalls and stay up-to-date with the latest OSHA requirements and industry safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or technical equivalent.
  • 3-7 years of experience in product safety activities, preferably in lithium-ion batteries, battery chargers, power tools, or other consumer products.
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
