Job Summary

This position plays a critical role in supporting the educational goals of the Commonwealth of Virginia. As an Instructional Specialist, you will work closely with teachers and administrators to develop and implement curricular guides, provide coaching and support to teachers, and analyze data to inform instructional decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to update and align curriculum changes
  • Develop and implement curricular guides to support student learning
  • Provide coaching and support to teachers to improve instructional practices
  • Analyze data to inform instructional decisions and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and deliver training to adult learners and teachers
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and valid current Teaching License with an endorsement in Mathematics
  • Experience in adult basic education, curriculum design, and implementation
  • Knowledge of state curriculum and assessments, data analysis, and instructional methodologies
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Postgraduate Professional License
  • Experience in an alternative or correctional setting
  • Master's degree in mathematics
