Job Title: Reading Instructional Coach

Henrico County Public Schools is seeking a highly qualified Reading Instructional Coach to join our team. As a Reading Instructional Coach, you will play a critical role in supporting teachers in implementing effective literacy instruction and improving student achievement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and support for elementary literacy instruction through coaching, collaboration, and data-driven decision making.
  • Support teachers in implementing all facets of literacy instruction, including coaching cycles, modeling, co-teaching, and collaborative planning.
  • Assist teachers in using data to identify student needs, form groups, select resources, and inform instruction.
  • Participate in collaborative planning to support the implementation of the HCPS Instructional Model and aligned curriculum.
  • Collaborate with school leadership to identify literacy needs, develop school literacy goals, and implement a plan to achieve those goals.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree with a Reading Specialist endorsement (or proof of enrollment in a Reading Specialist program).
  • A minimum of three years of successful teaching experience.
  • Experience in grades K through 5.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range: $58,839 - $64,623.
  • Prorated annual salary based on actual start date.
