Software Engineer for Satellite Ground Systems

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Peraton. As a part-time/on-call software engineer, you will be responsible for developing TT&C and Satellite Mission Management and Scheduling software in support of our mission-critical customers and the OS/COMET COTS software product.
Key Responsibilities
Research, design, and development of computer software systems, including requirement analysis, design, development, and test of software products.
Analyze software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects and ability to handle routine tasks.
Solve problems of moderate-to-advanced scope/complexity.
Requirements
Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD.
Experience with designing and developing software for satellite ground systems or TT&C applications.
Familiarity with the OS/COMET COTS software product or similar TT&C products.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance. To obtain a security clearance, you must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications
Active/Current Security Clearance.
Previous support of NOAA missions such as GOES, SWFO, or JPSS.
Experience developing Application Specific Inputs (ASI) or Application Specific Outputs (ASO) for OS/COMET based ground systems.
In-depth understanding of the OS/COMET CCL scripting language.
