- Ensure the safety and well-being of children, being attentive to their individual and collective needs.
- Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Guide children in utilizing positive alternatives to challenging behaviors, employing techniques such as FLIP IT and Second Step.
- Monitor and document children's progress through observations, anecdotes, and checklists throughout the year.
- Communicate children's development, routines, and interests to parents effectively.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of two years' experience working with school-age children (2,500 verified hours).
- Strong communication skills for effective engagement with parents and guardians.
- Ability to uphold confidentiality regarding center, staff, and family matters.
- Familiarity with DHS licensing, Keystone Stars, and accreditation standards.
- Experience in managing a diverse classroom environment.
Work Schedule:
- 25 hours per week.
- Morning hours from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and afternoon hours from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
