Responsibilities- Operate CT equipment, power injectors, and other medical devices to produce high-quality scans for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Provide quality care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
- Prepare patients for procedures using proper sterile technique, minimizing the risk of infection and ensuring accurate results.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care, including scan results and any notable observations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical devices and technologies, ensuring you're equipped to provide the best possible care.
- Minimize patient and staff exposure to x-radiation, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Assume responsibility for direct patient care during procedures, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety.
- Prepare patients for procedures, providing clear instructions and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Provide quality care to patients during procedures, prioritizing their comfort and well-being.
- Assist with patient and family education, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
- Support research and related activities, contributing to the advancement of medical knowledge and practice.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology, applying this knowledge to provide accurate and effective care.
- Provide more complex technical care as needed, adapting to the unique needs of each patient.
- Assist with performing and planning multiple diagnostic procedures, ensuring timely and efficient care.
- Act as a resource for students and junior technologists, sharing your expertise and experience to support their growth and development.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology, with a minimum of two years of experience, including one year in CT.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and certified in CT.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
