The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is seeking a highly skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating the BodyTom CT scanner, performing CT scans, and transferring images to the GBI PACS system.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare the BodyTom CT scanner for daily use, including quality control checks
- Retrieve decedents from the cooler for CT imaging
- Perform CT scans according to established protocols
- Transfer images and files to the GBI PACS system
- Return decedents to the cooler
- Associate's degree or diploma in radiologic technology from an accredited college or university
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Must be proficient in English
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with grief
- Must have a record of dependability and reliability
- Must display a high level of effort and commitment toward performing work and demonstrate responsible behavior
This position requires the incumbent to work in a forensic/morgue office setting, which includes a shared workspace with other forensic professionals. The role may require some rotating on-call work outside of normal business hours, including nights and weekends.
