Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Loan Origination Specialist to join our team at Selby Jennings. As a key member of our financial services team, you will be responsible for analyzing loan applications, credit reports, and financial statements to assess borrower eligibility and risk factors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze loan applications, credit reports, and financial statements to assess borrower eligibility and risk factors.
  • Collaborate with loan officers to gather necessary documentation and ensure all required information is complete and accurate.
  • Evaluate property appraisals and market conditions to determine loan viability.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on current market trends and lending practices.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations throughout the loan process.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management on loan origination metrics and trends.
  • Assist in the development of best practices and process improvements for the loan origination team.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing borrower inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in loan origination, underwriting, or a related financial services role.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with loan origination software.
  • Knowledge of real estate lending regulations and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
