Role Responsibilities
We are looking for a skilled accountant to enhance our hospitality management team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing accounts payable and processing check requests
- Handling payroll through ADP Workforce Now
- Investigating invoices and resolving vendor discrepancies
- Ensuring expenses align with contract and budget guidelines
- Assisting in accounts receivable management
- Overseeing intercompany billing and transfers
- Reconciling general ledger accounts
- Supporting loan reporting tasks
- Facilitating month-end adjusting entries
- Analyzing data for potential opportunities and issues
- Performing other related duties as assigned
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Capability to follow both verbal and written instructions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Experience with QuickBooks (Online or Desktop)
- Comfortable with technology
- Team-oriented mindset, willing to assist with general office tasks as needed
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Two to five years of relevant experience is necessary
Additional Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in payroll processing
- Familiarity with sales tax regulations
- Background in hospitality accounting is advantageous
- College degree or coursework in accounting is preferred
- QuickBooks Online Certification is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a desk and using a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
- Infrequent travel to various hotel locations may be necessary
