About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team at The High Companies. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving process improvements and reducing waste across our manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Analyze current plant and equipment layout, fabrication methods, and material flow and handling to identify areas for improvement
  • Research and implement changes based on leading-edge technologies and engineering principles
  • Lead manufacturing initiatives to maximize material, equipment, and personnel efficiencies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing standard operating procedures
  • Participate in the evaluation and implementation of co-worker ideas generated through continuous improvement efforts
  • Identify and introduce new engineering concepts and available technologies to improve operation performance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field
  • 4 years of progressive process improvement projects experience
  • Steel fabrication, precast concrete, or heavy construction/manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience in line layout or design for manufacturing projects
  • Demonstrate excellent project management and communication skills
  • Formal Lean training preferred
  • Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office
