The Senior Nursing Assistant (NA) plays a vital role in providing resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents in our long-term care facility.
As a seasoned caregiver, you will demonstrate expert-level experience as a certified nursing assistant and assist other staff as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Deliver age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of residents as per care plan.
- Assist with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support.
- Assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Two years' clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing.
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
