Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Support Specialist to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our store by providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a well-merchandised store, and supporting various operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a well-merchandised store, including receiving and processing merchandise, managing inventory, and ensuring visual displays are appealing and well-maintained.
  • Support various operational tasks, including cash handling, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve sales goals and provide support during peak periods.
  • Participate in store opening and closing procedures, including setting up and breaking down displays, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Requirements
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and achieving sales goals.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous retail experience, preferably in a customer-facing role.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and visual merchandising principles.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
