This pivotal role entails comprehensive oversight of all fund and firm financials, along with investor reporting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage all facets of the accounting functions within the organization.
  • Develop and uphold accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Coordinate with third-party fund administrators to ensure timely production of monthly and quarterly financial statements and NAV packages.
  • Lead the annual audit and tax compliance processes.
  • Oversee capital allocations, distributions, and fee calculations.
  • Manage monthly expense accruals and disbursements.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of financial compliance reporting and tax returns.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial records and statements in alignment with US GAAP reporting standards.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new funds with the fund administrator.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in fund accounting or auditing roles, specifically with hedge funds or asset managers involving multi-investor vehicles.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient experience in fund accounting and financial reporting for hedge funds or asset managers.
  • Preferred knowledge of Partnership Accounting.
  • Collaborative team player with exceptional relationship-building skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; familiarity with Quickbooks is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of US GAAP and SEC financial reporting standards.
