Job Title: Financial Specialist

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a deep understanding of revenue accounting, financial analysis, and program administration. As a Financial Specialist, you will be responsible for administering various programs, including the Emergency 911 program, the Convention Facility Development program, and the Small Business Taxpayer Exemption program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer programs, including researching, interpreting, and analyzing program policies and procedures
  • Monitor and summarize state legislative changes related to programs
  • Analyze revenues and develop program distributions
  • Develop reports and respond to complex inquiries
  • Attend and make presentations at meetings
  • Handle programmatic matters and assist in the development of policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics
  • Four years of professional experience equivalent to a Financial Analyst, including two years equivalent to a Financial Analyst P11, Accountant P11, or Auditor P11
  • Experience with SIGMA and Business Intelligence, including developing reports and working with transactions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
