Maintenance Manager Job Description

Niagara Bottling is seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of our facilities, equipment, and machinery. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, direct, and monitor preventative and corrective maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and efficiency.
  • Oversee the maintenance of injection molding, blow molding, and packaging equipment, as well as other machinery and facilities.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager to schedule preventative maintenance activities and ensure alignment with production goals.
  • Develop and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance personnel, providing guidance, training, and coaching to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Develop and manage budgets for maintenance and repair activities, ensuring cost-effective solutions and optimal resource allocation.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment with organizational goals.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a position of leadership or management.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience managing people and projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration or vocational studies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
  • 10+ years of experience working in a position of leadership or management.
  • 6 years of experience managing people and projects.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration or related field.
Competencies:
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
