About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Director to join our team at Niagara Bottling. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and monitoring preventative and corrective maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our facilities, machinery, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance of injection molding, blow molding, and packaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Direct and manage the activities of the maintenance department, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager to schedule preventative maintenance activities and ensure seamless production operations.
  • Build and lead a high-performing maintenance team that can troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Oversee outside contractors performing installations and projects at our facilities, ensuring timely completion and quality of work.
  • Interface with cross-functional teams to ensure customer deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained.
  • Hire, train, coach, and evaluate the performance of maintenance team members, working closely with HR to address employee discipline issues and recruitment needs.
  • Oversee safety team activities, monitor and enforce safety requirements, and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist maintenance team members in solving work problems.
  • Maintain accurate time and maintenance records, and develop capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology.
  • Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize waste.

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • 6 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
    • 6 years of experience in a position of similar responsibility.
    • 4 years of experience managing people and projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
  • 10+ years of experience working in a position of similar responsibility.
  • 6 years of experience managing people and projects.

  • Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
  • Strong verbal, writing, and presentation skills to communicate effectively with immediate team and peers.

  • Ability to work well in collaborative group environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Intermediate knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration or vocational studies.

Typical Compensation Range:

Pay Rate Type: Salary $126, $184,033.15 / Yearly Bonus Target: 15% Annual
