Licensed Behavioral Health Specialist

At GeorgiaGov's outpatient centers, we strive to promote overall health and well-being for individuals, youth, and families through evidence-based therapies and medication management to mitigate the impact of mental illness, behavioral challenges, and substance use.
Under general supervision, the successful candidate will perform psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning. They will provide counseling and therapy to clients requiring complex interventions. Additionally, they will conduct commitment determinations and execute orders of involuntary commitments.
Responsibilities- Conduct psychosocial assessments to identify client needs and develop treatment plans
- Provide counseling and therapy services to clients with complex needs
- Perform commitment determinations and execute orders of involuntary commitments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Document client progress and treatment plans
A Master's degree in a related field from an accredited institution and eligibility for licensure are required for this position.
