The Specialty Medication Liaison will assist in facilitating patient access to prescribed biologics and specialty medications, which includes liaising with insurance companies, completing necessary enrollment documentation, and coordinating with specialty pharmacies and manufacturer support services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care in accordance with provider directives and practice protocols
  • Ensure appropriate ordering and utilization of specialty medications for patients
  • Act as a resource for patients, healthcare providers, and clinic personnel regarding specialty medications
  • Communicate effectively with external stakeholders such as patient access representatives and specialty pharmacies
  • Build and maintain relationships with pharmacies and medication representatives
  • Assist in organizing routine patient appointments
  • Manage the appeals process and denial resolutions
  • Ensure prompt attention to all tasks and inquiries
  • Utilize tools such as covermymeds and secure communication platforms
  • Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications/Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a state-recognized Medical Assistant program
