About the Role

The Metropolitan Council is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team. As a Full-Time Metro Transit Police Officer, you will be responsible for protecting employees and passengers, and safeguarding property and equipment of Metro Transit across all municipalities of our eight-county Metro-wide system.


Key Responsibilities

As a Police Officer, you will patrol assigned areas in a squad car, on foot, or onboard public transit and perform visual inspections and recognize, respond, investigate, and enforce violations of laws and ordinances.


Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must have an associate degree in Law Enforcement from an accredited College or University and be currently licensed as a full-time peace officer in the State of Minnesota. You must also have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
