We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a detail-oriented Accountant II in Milpitas, California. As an Accounting Consultant, you will be, contributing to the team by handling various accounting and revenue responsibilities.


Responsibilities:


• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations

• Oversee monthly and quarterly close deliverables, including the calculation and validation of program reserves

• Analyze monthly and quarterly results of earned rebates for accuracy and completeness and communicate the results effectively to business partners

• Conduct regular review meetings with business unit finance stakeholders on accrual results

• Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to modify and implement functionality improvements to system reports and processes

• Maintain responsibility for the preparation of SOX controls and internal and external PBC requests

• Assist with system implementation projects as needed

• Leverage advanced Excel skills and analytics aptitude in performing tasks

• Adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment

• Demonstrate proficient knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition fundamentals.

• Possess strong skills in customer service, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to use advanced functions to aid in financial analysis.

• Experience in analytics, with the ability to interpret and analyze financial data to inform business decisions.

• Committed to quality and review processes, ensuring all financial reports are accurate and meet company standards.

• Solid understanding of finance principles and practices, with the ability to apply this knowledge to real-world situations.

• Experience in performing reconciliations, particularly balance sheet reconciliation, ensuring all financial transactions are accounted for and documented.

• Knowledge of revenue accounting, with the ability to accurately record and report on company revenue.

• Experience in working with quarterly financial reports, ensuring they are prepared and submitted in a timely manner.

• Comfortable working in a digital environment, utilizing various digital tools and platforms to aid in financial tasks.

• Ability to effectively execute deliverables, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.

• CPA certification is a must, demonstrating a high level of competency in accounting practices.

• Understanding of accrual accounting, with the ability to apply this method in financial tasks.

• Ability to work effectively with business partners, fostering strong relationships to aid in financial tasks.

• Knowledge of US GAAP, ensuring all financial practices adhere to these standards.

• Experience in creating and executing validation plans, ensuring all financial data is accurate and reliable.

• MBA is a plus, demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills in business and finance.

• Understanding of Sarbanes Oxley, ensuring all financial practices are compliant with this federal law.

• Experience in P & L Calculation, with the ability to accurately calculate profit and loss for the company.
