About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Business Intelligence Product Analyst to contribute to our healthcare Data & Analytics team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the discovery and requirements gathering process for analytics solutions developed by our enterprise data warehousing and BI development resources. This role involves collaboration with key stakeholders, gathering technical requirements, and ensuring best practices throughout the development, testing, and implementation phases. This role requires a deep understanding of business intelligence products and deliverables, strong analytical capabilities, and exceptional communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with end-users and ensure the successful translation of business needs into technical specifications.

The Details:Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather and analyze business requirements to ensure existing products meet evolving needs and objectives
  • Define scope, objectives, and timelines for net new analytical solutions
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders and teams to understand business needs and objectives
  • Host discovery sessions with stakeholders to gather detailed requirements for new analytics
  • Create comprehensive documentation mapping and transforming data to meet Power BI model requirements
  • Advise on the desired user experience and functionalities of reports, ensuring alignment with business goals
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for BI developers
  • Ensure data warehouse development teams understand the data needs for BI deliverables
  • Facilitate an agile and iterative development cycle, ensuring consistent stakeholder engagement and feedback
  • Partner with BI report developers and QA to identify, extract, and validate data from diverse sources, as well as advise on data structures and elements within those structures to enable BI solution build
  • Partner with BI report QA and end-users on efficient and effective testing phases; ensure test plans are in place and manage the validation and UAT processes
  • Conduct roll-out activities, user training sessions, create educational materials, and support ongoing user engagement
  • Create and maintain documentation, including knowledge bases and metrics & methodologies to support the effective use of analytical products
  • Provide production support and triage BI product issues or feedback ensuring timely resolution
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data analytics, contributing to the advancement of analytical capabilities within the organization
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proficiency with Power BI, SQL, Excel, and basic data modeling/data warehousing techniques
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications for BI development teams
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations and industry trends
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a business analyst, product owner, or project manager, preferably in the healthcare industry
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering results in a fast-paced environment
