About the Role

Crescent Hospice is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Clinical Director, leading a team of clinicians in providing exceptional end-of-life care to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion Comprehensive Patient Support: Coordinate and oversee a range of patient services, ensuring alignment with established hospice program policies and standards.
  • Empowering Teams: Provide guidance and support to a team of clinicians, fostering continuous enhancement of hospice care services provided.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough chart audits, overseeing medical record upkeep for compliance with regulations, certification standards, and ethical care benchmarks.
  • Training Excellence: Participate in developing orientation and in-service training for nursing and clinical staff, promoting their growth across all proficiency levels.
  • Performance Advancement: Evaluate and enhance clinical staff performance during probation and annually, offering valuable teaching and counseling to improve the delivery of services from our clinicians.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Lead interdisciplinary team gatherings to refine patient/family Care Plans, encouraging the exchange of insights, resolution of challenges, and nurturing professional camaraderie.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare preferred.
  • Registered Nurse with a current state license to practice as a professional nurse in the state where the office is located.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a nurse, including 1 year of full-time experience in providing direct patient care in a hospice, home health, or oncology setting, and 1 year of supervisory experience in hospice or home health care preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of terminal care with expertise in crisis intervention, pain and symptom control, clinical bedside nursing, and family counseling.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute a supportive, sensitive approach to staff and patient/family needs.
  • Possess and maintain current CPR certification if required by state.
