Job Summary:
Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Director RN - Clinical Leader to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and clinical direction to our nursing team, ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and direction to the nursing team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Sunrise's quality standards.
- Develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and services for residents.
- Manage and oversee the medication management program, ensuring resident safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead quality assurance and regulatory compliance initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance resident care outcomes.
- Recruit, hire, and train clinical team members, providing coaching and performance management to ensure they meet Sunrise's standards.
- Develop and manage the department budget, ensuring effective use of resources and alignment with Sunrise's financial goals.
- Participate in Sunrise University training and self-study programs, staying up-to-date on the latest clinical practices and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited college or school of nursing with a current state/provincial license as a professional Registered Nurse (RN).
- Minimum two (2) years RN experience with at least one (1) year experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care environment preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year nursing management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, scheduling, and daily operations supervision.
- Certified in CPR and First Aid.
- Demonstrated knowledge of applied nursing practices, techniques, and methods in accordance with federal, state/provincial and board of nursing requirements.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and prevention of disease transmission.
- Ability to delegate assignments to the appropriate individuals based on their demonstrated skill capability and in compliance with all regulations.
