About the Job
I Am Boundless, Inc. is seeking a skilled Therapeutic Respite Specialist to join our team in Franklin County. As a key member of our community-based respite services, you will provide critical support to individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges.
About You
We are looking for an experienced professional who can work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including those with complex needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centered care and treatment services to clients in their homes or community settings.
- Develop and implement individualized service plans that promote recovery, wellness, and self-advocacy.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure seamless coordination of services.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- Prioritize crisis situations, providing de-escalation techniques and interventions as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, social work, special education) or equivalent experience.
- Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable transportation.
- First Aid and CPR certification (training provided if necessary).
- Ability to obtain and maintain Ukeru and medication administration certification.
- Minimum 3 years' experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities or behavioral health challenges.
