Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Family Office Accountant to join our team. This role will directly support the Family Office Controller in managing the financial operations of a high-net-worth family office. The ideal candidate will excel in a dynamic environment, adeptly handling multiple financial transactions while emphasizing process enhancement and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping and general ledger for personal entities.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Oversee bank reconciliations, manage cash flow, and ensure adequate insurance coverage.
  • Handle accounts payable and related documentation efficiently.
  • Drive initiatives for process improvements.
  • Manage the chart of accounts effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with loan covenants.
  • Conduct property and vendor management as needed.
  • Exhibit sound judgment and integrity in all financial dealings.
  • Uphold a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in family office, hedge fund, private equity, or fund administration.
  • Knowledge of tax filing deadlines and coordination with external tax professionals.
  • Familiarity with co-investment structures and carried interest.
  • Experience with Oil & Gas assets is advantageous.
  • Proficient in managing Private Funds, Hedge Funds, and Real Estate Assets.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of accounting principles.
  • CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Expertise in Excel and Word; advanced proficiency in QuickBooks is essential.
  • Detail-oriented, self-driven, and trustworthy individual.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently, demonstrating flexibility in various accounting functions.
