Job Summary:The Patient Flow Shift Coordinator Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and managing patient flow across our inpatient services. This includes planning, organizing, and implementing strategies to optimize patient placement, bed assignment, and resource utilization. You will work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the highest quality care in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate patient flow across inpatient services, including bed assignment and resource utilization
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize patient placement and reduce delays
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Monitor and analyze patient flow data to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance patient care and reduce costs
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Active valid license in OH
- 2-3 years of critical care experience as Registered Nurse
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience with computer usage, data gathering, analysis, and statistical application
- Membership in applicable professional organization
- ACLS, NRP, PALS certification
This role requires frequent standing, walking, and use of hands. The ability to lift 10-50 pounds is also required. The work environment is fast-paced and requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
