Job Summary:
Rivet Operations Company LLC is seeking a skilled General Laborer to join our team at the Pearl Harbor Navy Shipyard in Hawaii. As a General Laborer, you will play a critical role in supporting facilities maintenance and operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of our facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs, renovations, and removals, to ensure the integrity and functionality of our facilities.
- Waterfront Operations: Assist with waterfront cleanup and disposal of materials, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
- Furniture and Equipment Maintenance: Repair, install, relocate, remove, and dispose of furniture and equipment, as needed.
- Inclement Weather Preparation: Assist with hurricane and inclement weather preparation, including facilities tie-downs and other necessary measures.
- Vegetation Control: Perform vegetation control and removal tasks to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Minor Maintenance Work: Perform minor maintenance tasks, including carpentry, painting, roofing, and welding, as needed.
- Electrical Work: Assist with electrical wiring, installation, and repair tasks, as needed.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: 2+ years of experience performing general labor functions, with a preference for experience in construction and electrical work.
- Certifications and Background Checks: Must be a U.S. citizen and successfully obtain and maintain background investigations for base access.
Physical Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have sufficient mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. Possible lifting up to 40 lbs. may be required.
