Job Opportunity

Job Summary

TriStar Summit Medical Center is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Responsibilities

  • You will perform patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure, to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy.
  • You will administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy, to patients with respiratory conditions.
  • You will assist with the placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation as needed.
  • You will monitor patients for therapeutic response and notify providers and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
  • You will assist with the transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations, ensuring airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation as required.

Requirements

  • You must have an Associate Degree and be certified as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
  • You must have Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 60 months of employment start date.
  • You must have Neonate Resuscitation certification within 60 months of employment start date.
  • You must have Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 60 months of employment start date.
