Open Rank of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in Addiction Medicine

The University of New Mexico Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a highly qualified academic faculty physician to join our Addiction Psychiatry Division. As an attending physician, you will have a voice in developing the addiction program's direction and opportunities for multicultural clinical care, scholarly and collaborative research activities, and professional development in leadership, administration, and education.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide clinical care to patients with addiction disorders
- Develop and implement educational programs for medical students, residents, and fellows
- Contribute to research and scholarly activities in addiction psychiatry
- Participate in departmental and university service
- Medical Doctor (or equivalent) degree
- Board certified or board eligible in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine
- Clinical experience, minimum one year
- Eligible for licensure in the State of New Mexico
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Educational, teaching, and supervision experience with residents, fellows, and medical students
- Clinical leadership experience in an academic setting
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
