The University of New Mexico School of Medicine is seeking a qualified Family Medicine Physician to join its faculty. As a member of our department, you will provide patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, support departmental education and scholarship efforts, and supervise residents on hospital services. We offer a dynamic and supportive environment with opportunities for research, education, and leadership.
Responsibilities- Provide primary care to a panel of patients in a Patient Centered Medical Home model
- Supervise residents on hospital services, including obstetrics and maternal/child health, hospital medicine, and intermediate care nursery
- Support departmental education and scholarship efforts, including teaching medical students, physician assistant students, and UNM Family Medicine residents and fellows
- Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy degree
- Board eligible/certified in Family Medicine by the ABFM or AOA
- Eligible for medical licensure in NM
- Eligible for State of New Mexico Board of Pharmacy certification and federal DEA registration
- Three years directly related clinical experience
- Patient care experience in an office or community clinic
- Experience in educating students and residents
