About The Floating Hospital

The Floating Hospital is a Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to providing unrestricted healthcare to all who walk through our doors, regardless of immigration and insurance status, or the ability to pay.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Patient Navigator to join our Patient Navigation team at our Long Island City (Queens) facility. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality, create a welcoming environment, and provide a positive impression for patients, their families, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients, families, and visitors, and inform the front desk of their arrival.
  • Answer questions professionally and execute the appropriate action when necessary.
  • Provide patients with necessary paperwork and collaborate with the front desk to ensure all needs are satisfied.
  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms and ensure social distancing guidelines are followed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Strong customer service experience, excellent communication skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
