Role and Responsibilities:

Procurement and Inventory Oversight

  • Execute both Drop Ship and Stocking purchase orders with a diverse vendor network
  • Evaluate internal requests for inventory procurement and provide final recommendations
  • Maintain inventory levels within target ranges through efficient purchase order adjustments and expedites
  • Track essential inventory metrics and propose enhancements to purchasing strategies
  • Assist in international vendor procurement initiatives and strategies

ERP Data Management and Application

  • Leverage ERP system data to inform purchasing decisions
  • Update ERP (Sage 100) with the latest information
  • Address inventory discrepancies and receiving challenges
  • Collaborate with the distribution center on inventory kit and assembly modifications

Vendor Relationship Management

  • Work with the extended team to negotiate optimal pricing and delivery conditions
  • Establish and nurture productive relationships with both new and existing vendors
  • Partner with sales to assess current market trends and formulate relevant action plans

Additional Responsibilities

  • Oversee special projects as required
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses as directed by management

Qualifications and Educational Background

  • 2-5 years of relevant industry experience in a comparable role
  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree preferred, but not mandatory

Preferred Competencies

  • Strong communication skills, including effective interdepartmental communication, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Experience with Sage ERP systems is advantageous
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
