Senior Program Officer, Clinical AI Innovation

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Program Officer to join our Clinical AI Innovation team at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of AI solutions that address pressing health challenges in low- and middle-income countries.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for AI in healthcare, including identifying key areas for investment and collaboration with external partners.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and evaluate AI solutions for healthcare, including decision support tools and chatbots.
- Provide technical guidance and support to program teams on AI-related projects and initiatives.
- Advise on the development and implementation of AI-related policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with external partners, including governments, NGOs, and academic institutions, to advance the use of AI in healthcare.
- Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, data science, or public health.
- 10+ years of experience in healthcare and technology development/application, with a focus on AI and machine learning.
- Experience working in low- and middle-income countries, with a strong understanding of the healthcare challenges and opportunities in these settings.
- Strong program and project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
