Job Title: Data Security Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Security Analyst to join our team at Kapili Services, LLC. As a Data Security Analyst, you will be responsible for providing enterprise-class relational database management system administration and analysis support for disparate database systems and architecture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide database administration and analysis support for various database systems and architecture.
  • Install, maintain, deploy, manage, and harden database management systems.
  • Troubleshoot and remediate database issues, and recommend updates/solutions to improve the quality of the service.
  • Analyze and plan for anticipated changes in data capacity requirements.
  • Install and configure database management systems and software.
  • Perform backup and recovery of databases to ensure data integrity.
  • Provide recommendations on new database technologies and architectures.
  • Identify data consolidation opportunities across database systems, including data sharing and access.
  • Monitor and maintain databases to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
  • Must meet at least one of the following baseline certifications in lieu of education: CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, or CISSP-ISSEP.
  • Must meet designated Computing Environment (CE) certifications within six (6) months of hire: CIO G-6/NETCOM IA-RHEL.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of data administration and data standardization policies and standards.
  • Knowledge of data backup, types of backups, and recovery concepts and tools.
  • Knowledge of policy-based and risk adaptive access controls.
  • Knowledge and comfortability with query languages such as SQL.
  • Able to establish data security controls, maintain databases, and optimize database performance.
Clearance and Citizenship:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have an active SECRET clearance.
