Substance Abuse Treatment Specialist

Blue Ridge Community Health Services is actively looking for a Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP) Therapist to enhance our Behavioral Health Team.
Newly appointed Therapists can qualify for a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000.00, contingent upon the selected service agreement. Contract options are available for 1, 2, or 3 years.

The SAIOP Therapist will be an integral part of a treatment team, delivering both group and individual therapy. Key duties include:
- Leading morning and evening therapy groups, including sessions on holidays
- Providing gender-specific resources and support under the guidance of the SAIOP team leader
- Assisting with the intake process, including orientations to SAIOP, person-centered planning, and crisis management
- Facilitating skill development during individual sessions focused on relapse prevention, recovery strategies, managing triggers and cravings, harm reduction, self-care, and parenting skills
- Contributing to the planning and organization of group curriculum
- Assisting with drug screening and collaborating with other stakeholders in client care
- Required: Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (fully or provisionally licensed or license eligible)
- Required: Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (fully or provisionally licensed or license eligible)
- Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
- Availability for extended hours on designated weekdays
- Strong listening and communication skills
