Responsibilities:- Assist licensed personnel with patient care activities, including vital sign documentation, point-of-care testing, and Foley catheter care.
- Review and implement the patient's plan of care, ensuring awareness of pertinent patient needs and plans for the day.
- Provide daily physical and emotional care to patients, including close observation and monitoring of patient needs.
- Participate in unit and team huddles, maintaining effective communication and good working relationships with colleagues.
- Assist with procedures within scope of practice, including non-sterile dressing changes, oxygen and suction equipment setup, and EKGs.
- Monitor and maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Perform phlebotomy as directed by R.N. and exhibit competency in handling unit-specific equipment.
- 1 year experience working as a nursing assistant, preferred.
- High School or Equivalent, required.
- BLS preferred, CNA certification preferred.
