Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Financial Analyst to become an integral part of our team. This role is pivotal in steering financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis to facilitate informed decision-making throughout the organization. The Senior Financial Analyst will support various business units and contribute to comprehensive reporting for the Executive team. Key responsibilities include preparing budget entries, analyzing data from various sources, generating financial reports, conducting variance analysis, and fulfilling ad hoc research requests. Collaboration with different departments will be essential to provide insights and recommendations aimed at optimizing financial performance and achieving business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning:

  • Engage in the annual budgeting process, collaborating closely with department leaders to gather necessary inputs and ensure alignment with the company's objectives.
  • Assist in the long-term planning process, integrating market trends, industry benchmarks, and corporate goals to establish realistic financial targets.
Forecasting and Analysis:
  • Create precise and timely financial forecasts, identifying critical drivers and potential risks.
  • Perform variance analysis between actual outcomes and forecasts, providing explanations for significant discrepancies and actionable recommendations to improve financial performance.
Reporting and Metrics:
  • Compile and present detailed financial reports and dashboards to senior management, emphasizing key performance indicators and trends.
  • Work with stakeholders to define and monitor relevant financial and operational metrics, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Strategic Support:
  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand their financial requirements and deliver insightful analyses to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing processes within the financial planning and analysis function, implementing best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Streamline data collection and reporting procedures to enable quicker and more informed decision-making.
Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in an analytical field is required, along with over five years of experience in a financial planning and analysis capacity. The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A solid understanding of financial and accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, synthesize complex data, and derive business insights.
  • Proficiency in identifying patterns from diverse data sources and delivering comprehensive analyses.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A meticulous approach, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to verify one's own work.
  • Independence and trustworthiness in handling confidential information.
  • Reliability in executing deliverables.
Preferred Experience
  • A customer service-oriented mindset, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Resilience under pressure and adaptability to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on results.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and the capacity to learn new software applications.
  • Experience with PowerBI is advantageous.
Work Environment
  • This position is primarily sedentary but may involve occasional movement to different offices or locations.
  • Light equipment or supplies may need to be relocated as necessary.
  • Accessing files, supplies, and equipment may be required.
  • The work environment is an office setting with open partitions.
