Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial information and summarize financial status to ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks.
  • Financial Close: Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Accounting Control: Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Financial Systems: Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Discrepancies and Irregularities: Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • External Audits: Prepare for review and work closely with external auditors to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, and financial data analysis.
  • Skills: Knowledge of ERP, applicable laws, codes, and regulations; experienced in AP, AR, and Payroll analysis and processing; advanced G/L experience; experience filing multistate sales and use taxes.
  • Certifications: CPA or public accounting experience.
  • Software Skills: Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills; advanced knowledge of QuickBooks.
