We are seeking a skilled and friendly Host to join our team at Colonial Downs Group LLC. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all.
Key Responsibilities- Take reservations and set up room seating charts to accommodate daily guest needs.
- Greet guests and show them to their dining tables.
- Present menus and wine lists, and introduce servers to guests.
- Take orders and enter them into the system, collect payments, and ensure a smooth dining experience.
- Inspect dining and serving areas to maintain cleanliness and proper setup.
- Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, respond to complaints, and thank guests as they depart.
- Answer the restaurant telephone line during assigned hours of operation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
In addition to the above duties, our Hosts are responsible for:
- Attending required training sessions.
- Obtaining and retaining required licenses.
- Performing duties in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Ensuring minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in restricted areas.
- Having knowledge of relevant laws, policies, and procedures.
- Reporting any wrongdoing or suspicious activity.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- 6 months of fast food service or restaurant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- The ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25-50 pounds.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Virginia Racing Commission License
Valid Driver's License with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands of this role include:
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and reaching.
- Occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling of up to 25-50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a moderate to loud noise environment.
