KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Conduct legal research and fact-finding

*Assist in managing case files and documentation

*Organize and electronically file legal pleadings

*Coordinate and manage attorney calendars

*Research legal precedents and prepare necessary documents for attorneys.

*Collect and compile records and information.

*Demonstrate sound judgment and initiative while performing tasks with minimal oversight.

*Assist in drafting legal documents.

*Facilitate communication between internal and external legal teams.

*Collect and summarize medical records.

*Review and summarize deposition transcripts

*Coordinate with courts, mediators, and opposing counsel for hearings and meetings

*Prepare materials for pre-trial and trial proceedings, including exhibits and trial notebooks

*Support attorneys during discovery and trial preparation.

*Manage state and federal filings

*Perform various tasks as assigned by attorneys.

*Maintain calendar and schedule appointments effectively.

*Establish and nurture cooperative working relationships with colleagues, clients, courts, and administrative agencies.

*Maintain organized and detailed records and files.

*Assist attorneys in the courtroom during trial proceedings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent vocational training or experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal
  • Paralegal Certification is preferred
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
