  • Skillfully align songs with creative briefs and identify alternative tracks when necessary.
  • Utilize music management platforms effectively to curate playlists and share audio files with clients for review.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with music terminology and audio components (e.g., instrumentals, stems, full mixes, tagging).

MUSIC LICENSING: You will be responsible for assisting our brand clients in obtaining rights to utilize both well-known and independent songs for comprehensive advertising campaigns.

  • Possess knowledge of standard market rates for licensing fees associated with various artists and tracks.
  • Understand the process of song clearance and be well-versed in each stage, including negotiations, approvals, and contracts.
  • Have a foundational understanding of union residuals and their impact on clearance costs.
  • Draft and review licensing agreements, ensuring comprehension of music-related legal terminology.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to clients, especially when they require direction.
  • Collaborate with internal resources to manage all billing processes effectively.
Qualifications:
  • 6-8+ years of experience in music marketing, with a focus on licensing and supervision within the advertising sector or music brand collaborations.
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating music licensing agreements within client budgets with minimal oversight.
  • Experience engaging with advertising industry professionals, including account managers, music producers, and creative directors.
  • Strong network of relationships with music rights holders, including labels, publishers, and legal representatives.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for informed decision-making.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach, thriving in a dynamic environment while managing multiple projects.
  • Passion for staying abreast of evolving music trends and industry developments.
