Job Title: Design Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at Actalent. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and modifying design concepts within the Creo environment for air-cooled packaged product products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new product concepts and modify existing designs to meet customer requirements
  • Work with documents, drawings, and bills of material in various formats
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets manufacturing and assembly requirements
  • Manage data change and version controls
  • Utilize engineering design tools, including Creo, Windchill, and ProjectLink

Requirements:

  • Three plus years of experience in mechanical design and design project management
  • Fully experienced with Pro/ENGINEER (3 years minimum; current Wildfire build)
  • Advanced Assemblies, 3D Modeling, Sheet Metal, Piping, Drawing
  • Fully experienced with Windchill (2 years minimum); Document Management, Change Management, Bill of Materials
  • Excellent skill and experience with drafting standards and procedures
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience with bill of material structure and databases
  • Experience with sheet metal design and manufacturing processes
  • Experience with piping design and manufacturing processes
  • Previous relevant job history experience, especially HVAC product design and/or product sustaining
  • Some exposure to electro-mechanical control systems and components
