Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies to ensure the reliability and performance of autonomous systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with complex electro-mechanical systems.
- Perform failure analysis and root cause identification to drive design improvements and process enhancements.
- Participate in design reviews and provide key inputs to ensure design for reliability.
- Maintain a keen interest in contributing across multiple domains to make Skydio products the default choice for users in challenging environments.
Requirements:
- Deep curiosity and over 6 years of hands-on experience in the development, testing, and delivery of highly reliable, complex systems.
- Extensive knowledge of the physics of failure and integration risks associated with one or more critical electronics subsystems.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, enabling adept management and analysis of large datasets.
- A systems-engineering approach to problem-solving, combined with a knack for rapidly identifying issues within mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
- Enthusiastic tendencies towards hands-on testing, characterization, and failure analysis.
- A passion for communicating the nuances of hardware reliability to cross-functional teams.
What We Offer:
- An annual base salary range of $170,000 to $200,000, depending on factors such as skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience.
- A variety of incentives and stipends, including benefit plans for full-time employees.
