Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies to ensure the reliability and performance of autonomous systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with complex electro-mechanical systems.
  • Perform failure analysis and root cause identification to drive design improvements and process enhancements.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide key inputs to ensure design for reliability.
  • Maintain a keen interest in contributing across multiple domains to make Skydio products the default choice for users in challenging environments.

Requirements:

  • Deep curiosity and over 6 years of hands-on experience in the development, testing, and delivery of highly reliable, complex systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of the physics of failure and integration risks associated with one or more critical electronics subsystems.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL, enabling adept management and analysis of large datasets.
  • A systems-engineering approach to problem-solving, combined with a knack for rapidly identifying issues within mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
  • Enthusiastic tendencies towards hands-on testing, characterization, and failure analysis.
  • A passion for communicating the nuances of hardware reliability to cross-functional teams.

What We Offer:

  • An annual base salary range of $170,000 to $200,000, depending on factors such as skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience.
  • A variety of incentives and stipends, including benefit plans for full-time employees.
