Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site surveys of healthcare organizations to assess compliance with Joint Commission standards
  • Apply systems analysis skills and inductive reasoning to determine healthcare organizations' degree of compliance
  • Engage healthcare organization staff in interactive dialogues on standards-based issues
  • Prepare management reports that clearly link individual standards deficiencies with potential systems vulnerabilities
  • Effectively communicate findings to healthcare organization leadership

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Current professional license in nursing
  • 5 years of recent healthcare experience, including 3 years of direct clinical experience in psychiatric hospitals
  • 2 years of accreditation or certification leadership or senior management experience
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission standards and experience in conducting surveys

Physical Abilities:

  • Ability to observe healthcare treatment in real-time
  • Ability to stand for long periods, walk lengthy distances, and lift, climb, stoop, pull, and push

Travel Requirements:

  • 100% nationwide travel required
