About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team at Waterfall Community Health Center. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional oral healthcare to a diverse patient population, with a particular focus on serving individuals who face barriers to accessing care.

Your Responsibilities
  • Deliver periodontal procedures that prioritize the well-being of each patient, adhering to state dental board regulations.
  • Educate patients about the significance of preventing, diagnosing, and managing periodontal disease, emphasizing its connection to overall health.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, including probing, charting existing restorations, and digital radiographs, to develop comprehensive treatment plans using our electronic medical record system (EMR).
  • Perform procedures such as sealant placement, fluoride varnish application, and SDF treatments.
  • Maintain the highest standards of sterilization and infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with the team to ensure smooth patient scheduling, exceptional patient experiences, and a well-maintained practice environment.
Your Qualifications
  • Active dental hygiene license in compliance with state requirements, with no adverse actions.
  • Two years of experience as a licensed Dental Hygienist is preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is advantageous.
  • Completion of a Non-violent Crisis Intervention Comprehensive training class within six months of hire and recertification prior to the expiration date.
  • Current BLS certification.
