Job Title: Dental Hygienist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team at Waterfall Community Health Center. As a key member of our dental care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting oral health in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide periodontal care and treatment to patients, adhering to state dental board requirements and Waterfall Community Health Center's standards of care.
  • Educate patients on the importance of preventing, diagnosing, and treating periodontal disease, and discuss the links between periodontal conditions and overall systemic health.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, including probing, charting existing restorations, and digital radiographs, to develop personalized treatment plans using our electronic medical record system.
  • Place sealants, fluoride varnish, and SDF as needed, and maintain proper sterilization and infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with the dental care team to ensure seamless patient scheduling, exceptional patient experience, and optimal practice conditions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Dental hygiene licensure compliant with the State Dental Board, with no adverse actions.
  • Two years' experience as a licensed Dental Hygienist preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred.
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention Comprehensive training class completed within 6 months of hire and recertified prior to expiration.
  • BLS certification.
