Job Description

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is seeking a highly skilled Principal Member of Technical Staff to join our Security Products Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing secure cloud infrastructure solutions that protect our customers' data and applications.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented engineer with a strong background in distributed systems, cloud security, and software development. You will work closely with our product managers, engineers, and security experts to design, develop, and deploy secure cloud infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop secure cloud infrastructure solutions that protect our customers' data and applications
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and security experts to identify and prioritize security requirements
  • Develop and maintain secure software components and systems
  • Conduct security reviews and assessments of cloud infrastructure solutions
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in distributed systems, cloud security, and software development
  • Strong background in Java, C++, C#, or similar OO languages
  • Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures
  • Good understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies
  • Deep knowledge of REST and modern paradigm for inter-process communication
  • Experience supporting and maintaining applications/services in production
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle)
  • Building continuous integration/deployment pipelines with robust testing and deployment schedules
  • Experience working with internal customers and translating requests into prioritized work or features
  • Expertise in applying threat modeling or other risk identification techniques to develop security solutions
