Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Wound Care Clinic team at UCHealth Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO. As a Wound Care Nurse, you will provide direct patient care to patients with wounds and ostomies, utilizing the nursing process to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement patient care plans based on comprehensive assessments to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor and record patient condition, communicating effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
  • Educate patients and families on wound and ostomy care, promoting self-management and independence.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient transitions and referrals.
  • Delegate patient care to ancillary personnel, precepting student nurses and new hires as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program. BSN required.
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification required.
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with preference for WOCN certification.
